Welcome
Welcome to our Ayscoughfee Hall School website, where you will find a wealth of information about the school. I would particularly encourage you to read our latest inspection report (October 2024) of which we are very proud. This gives a very realistic picture of life at the school and demonstrates our commitment to giving each and every child in our care the very best start to their educational journey.
At Ayscoughfee Hall School, we are proud of our long tradition of providing a well-rounded, inclusive education for all our pupils. Founded in 1920, we have over 100 years of experience in delivering a curriculum that inspires, challenges and enables our children to achieve to the very best of their potential.
Visitors to the school frequently comment on its warm and friendly feeling and caring ethos. This includes the inspection team who visited us in October 2024, who noted that, ‘Leaders have established an inclusive and harmonious environment where pupils feel supported both pastorally and academically.’
Our aim is to ensure your child has the best possible education; one that fosters an enthusiasm and love for learning. This begins in our warm and welcoming Early Years setting, where our dedicated teachers provide a stimulating, challenging and vibrant learning environment to give your child the very best start to their school life. We pride ourselves on nurturing well motivated, confident and happy children, by providing a caring pastoral system and a rounded academic curriculum. We truly believe that when children feel happy, they grow in self-esteem and confidence.
Class sizes are small throughout the school, enabling our teachers and teaching assistants to really get to know your child as an individual, working with them to enhance their strengths and develop confidence in all areas of school life. At Ayscoughfee, we believe that the children should be at the heart of everything we do.
As a registered charity, we operate on a not-for-profit basis, meaning that all fees go directly towards giving the children the optimum start to their educational journey. The school is managed by a board of directors consisting of parents and members of the local community who, alongside the school management team, give their time voluntarily to bring a wealth of experience in both education and business management, which enables the school to maintain a strong position in the current financial climate.
I hope that you enjoy looking at our website and that you will want to visit our school. I would be delighted to show you around so you too can experience the warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere and meet our amazing children and staff.
