Wellbeing Week

The children have enjoyed learning about how to keep their mind and body healthy as part of our 'Wellbeing Week'. The week began with our Year 6 children taking on the role of Morning Greeters on the gate, starting everyone's day off positively with a smile and a warm welcome. Throughout the week the children took part in mindfulness and relaxation activities including yoga and sensory fun for the younger pupils. The Junior children learnt how to keep positive, happy and relaxed with a fabulous session from Hummingbird Hypnotherapy and made ‘positivity boxes’, adding lovely comments about each other for whenever they need a little boost of positivity. All the children spent time being active by taking part in skipping workshops raising funds for the British Heart Foundation, fun swimming lessons and a football skills workshop held by Bobby Copping from Peterborough United Football Club. ‘Wake up Wednesday’ saw the children dress down in comfy sports clothes and along with their parents took part in a ‘Mindfulness Mile’. After a fun, jam packed week the children enjoyed making and eating delicious fruit kebabs. The beautiful sunshine definitely helped with the happy minds!

As always, we will continue beyond this week, to ensure our children's wellbeing is at the heart of everything that we do. Please see our gallery to view photographs of all the wonderful activities that took place throughout the week.
