On Monday 4th January at 8.00pm the Government announced a further national lockdown and as such we are no longer able to open the school and welcome your children back as planned for Tuesday 5th January. The staff have spent today preparing for their return and will be as disappointed as you are that the children can't be in school. We did discuss online timetables today should this occur and will be meeting again tomorrow morning to finalise arrangements for online learning. We will send timetables out and teachers will also email parents to arrange an initial class zoom meeting for tomorrow afternoon, so they can see the children and explain what is happening. Your child will then move to their new timetable on Wednesday.
If your child is in Kindergarten, they may attend school as normal in line with the guidance that Early Years settings are able to remain open.
Clearly the reason for this lockdown is to keep safe and the Government has said the safest place for your children is at home. However, as we did in the last lockdown, we will be looking after key worker children where a parent is a keyworker and there is no one at home able to look after your children. If this is the case for you, please can you email me at email@example.com with the days and times you will need your child/children looked after between 8.00am - 4.30pm.
