Spreading Kindness at Ayscoughfee Hall School

At Ayscoughfee Hall School, kindness isn’t just encouraged it is celebrated. This week, our Kindness Award was presented to a Kindergarten pupil for their thoughtful actions and to our dedicated School Site Maintenance Officer, Mr Scott who helped a pupil repair his bike and took the time to talk to another enthusiastic pupil about craft modelling, offering advice and support with his own project. Small acts like these perfectly reflect the caring ethos we value so deeply at AHS.

In our classrooms, kindness is woven into everything we do. We believe it’s a core part of our school values, helping children build positive relationships and develop strong emotional wellbeing. Research shows that kindness not only makes school life happier but can also help reduce bullying, something we are passionate about promoting every day.

Our Year 6 Kindness Ambassadors play a key role in spreading positivity across the school. Each week, they award kindness certificates and stickers to one Infant and one Junior pupil who have shown acts of kindness, whether that’s helping a friend, including someone who might feel left out, assisting a teacher, or simply showing good manners and thoughtfulness.

At Ayscoughfee Hall School, we are proud to say that kindness is truly contagious!
