Eco Club Gets Hands-On in the Garden

Eco Club had a busy and productive afternoon in our school garden, making the most of the late summer harvest! The children collected the last of the juicy tomatoes, dug up the potatoes and pulled up red onions and carrots, celebrating the fruits of their hard work.
The highlight of the session was planting strawberry runners, which will grow into new plants for future harvests. We may even be able to sell them at the Christmas Fayre!
As holders of the Green Flag Award, our Eco Club helps make the school greener and more sustainable, increases environmental learning and benefits the wider community through their projects.
