|Ayscoughfee Hall School Kids’ Club is open to all pupils of the school during term time The Kids’ Club is based in the secure Library area of the Infant Department and an adjacent classroom. Kids Club is a service provided within the School for its parents and pupils and is registered with OFSTED. There are two sessions 8.00 a.m. – 8.40 a.m. and 3.20 p.m. – 5.50 p.m.There is the flexibility within each of these sessions for pupils to attend in blocks of 15 minutes. Attendance may be on a one-off basis, due, for example to traffic problems causing late collection, or as part of a regular booking for one or both sessions every day.
Kids’ Club is run by experienced staff and provides excellent before and after school care for children whose parents are unable to deliver or collect their children at school times. Activities within Kids’ Club are varied and numerous and include indoor and outdoor play. A wide choice of board games, toys, dolls, ball games, large play equipment, etc. is available during directed and free choice activities. A quiet area is also available for those children who prefer to read, complete homework tasks or just enjoy their own company! On occasion a video may also be scheduled. Directed activities often form part of planned work organised on a daily or weekly theme.
To book a place for your child at Kids’ Club’; all we ask is that you let us know in advance. Perhaps a last minute telephone call is needed, but as long as either the child, Kids’ Club staff, or school staff know, then your child will be cared for at Kids’ Club. For children staying longer in the afternoon session, food and refreshments are prepared and served at approximately 4.15 p.m.There is no extra charge for this.
Occasionally, parents may have some suggestions for the Kids’ Club. Staff on hand will be available if anyone wishes to make a comment as will staff in the School Office.
