Spalding Schools Hockey Tournament
Ayscoughfee Hall School took two teams to the Spalding Schools Hockey Tournament.
Our B team had four very close and hard competed games. They drew 1 and lost 3, the score-lines not really being representative of the efforts and teamwork that was produced during the matches. The players improved in their play in each encounter, and all gained a lot from the experience ending the evening playing to the final whistle under the floodlights.
In League 1 the A team competed hard in all their games, the first game went against us, Monks House had a large physical forward line which we battled to contain, and we lost 2-0. In the second match our team regrouped and drew against John Harrox 1-1. In the final match our players had a fire within and beat Tower Road 3-2 being led by Sebastian scoring a winning individual goal.
Thank you to everyone who took part, Mrs Hurn and the parents that supported the tournament.
