AHS took part in a triangular Tag Rugby Tournament with The Grantham Prep School and The Peterborough School. Our first match against the Peterborough A Team was very close consisting of end-to-end play with good passing, team, individual scores and solid defending. It ended 6-6, a fair result for an evenly balanced game.

The second test was against a developing Peterborough B Team that battled hard. Our boys played a good inclusive game with everybody involved in passing and scoring from flowing play. The defence were disciplined and only allowed one score against them. The result was a comfortable win for us 5-1.

As a conclusion to the fixture, we played The Grantham Prep team. Scores were level at half time, and we could see it was going to the final whistle. SH led the team with energy and some unstoppable running, though the near faultless play by Grantham was enough to beat us in the end 8 – 7. Well done to the boys who took part, 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat was a very respectable result to come away with.
