What a fantastic time Year 5 and 6 had during their residential trip to York! After settling into the hotel, the children were whisked away on an exciting adventure with a wizard as their guide, setting the tone for a fun filled experience full of mischief, laughter, and learning.

Day 1: York Unveiled
The fun began with an energetic start as the children explored York with their new magical friend. Later, they proudly celebrated their success in the Chocolate Quiz. A ghost walk through the city's spooky streets wrapped up the evening before a restful sleep.

Day 2: History Comes to Life
Day 2 started with a hearty breakfast before venturing into the rich history of York. First stop was to The York Castle Museum, where the children learned about Victorian life, followed by a journey back in time at the Viking Yorvik Centre. The awe inspiring York Minster finished off the day before the children enjoyed a tasty meal and more ghostly tales.

Day 3: Sweet Surprises & Fun Adventures
The day began with excitement, including a birthday celebration for one of the children. A visit to the National Railway Museum provided a fascinating look into trains, followed by an exciting bowling match and a delicious fish and chips meal.

Day 4: Hands On Fun at Eureka!
The final day brought the children to Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, where they engaged with interactive exhibits and enjoyed a “From Chew to Poo” show that explored the wonders of digestion. The perfect end to an incredible trip!

Throughout their stay, Year 5 and 6 represented the school with pride, wearing their yellow caps and impressing everyone they met with their enthusiasm, knowledge and impeccable manners. The trip was filled with laughter, learning and unforgettable memories. Now back home, we look back at the wonderful time spent in York and the lasting friendships and experiences created.
