Safeguarding Children

Ayscoughfee Hall School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent and effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.

Staff hope that children and parents will feel free to talk about any concerns and will see school as a safe place when there are difficulties.

All adults working with or on behalf of children have a full and active part and responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. There, are however, key people within the school who have specific responsibilities:-

  • The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is the Headteacher, Mrs Wright
  • The Deputy (DSL's) are the Deputy Headteacher, Mrs Jeffries and Reception Teacher, Mrs Patman
  • The Governor with specific responsibility for Safeguarding is Miss Cole

If you have any serious concerns about your child or any other pupil at Ayscoughfee Hall School, please do not hesitate to contact the DSL or any of the above contacts in their absence. You may also contact a member of the Child Protection Team of the Local Authority. If you know the postal address of the child you should contact the local authority in which they live.
