It was a warm, sunny afternoon as our pupils received a warm welcome in Grantham. The match was a closely contested and thoroughly enjoyable occasion, with both teams showcasing impressive skill and sportsmanship.

Our fielding was sharp and well-coordinated, leading to five well-earned wickets. While our bowling remains an area for development, the team worked hard and showed great promise. At the crease, we matched the opposition’s performance with confident batting, highlighted by several powerful sixes.

In the end, just five runs made the difference in a thrilling finish: TGPS 264–5, AHS 259–2.

It was a fantastic afternoon of cricket, played in great spirit by both teams. Many thanks to the pupils for their efforts and to the parents who came along to support the fixture.
