A Great Afternoon of Cricket at Grantham

On Wednesday 7th May, both our U9 and U10 teams gave it their all in two incredibly close matches against Grantham at their home ground.

The U9s fielded first, working hard to stay consistent and focused. Grantham set a strong total of 260, and our batting pairs grew in confidence throughout the innings. Despite a great effort, we narrowly missed out, finishing just 7 runs short at 253.

The U10 match was equally tense, with scores level at 264 going into Grantham’s final batting pair. Their strongest players managed to edge ahead, with the match ending 272–264 – a difference of just 8 runs.

Although both matches ended in narrow defeats, our teams showed fantastic teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. Plenty of positives to build on!
