Early Years children have made a fantastic start to the new term as they begin their exciting new topic, Commotion in the Ocean. The children have settled back into school brilliantly and have already shown great enthusiasm for learning about life beneath the waves.

The topic has inspired lots of curiosity, with children sharing their existing knowledge about ocean creatures and asking thoughtful questions that they are keen to investigate. Creativity has also been flowing, with pupils producing beautiful ocean-themed artwork using a range of techniques including collage, colouring and printing.

Our seaside cafe role-play area has proved especially popular, alongside the dressing-up corner filled with flip-flops, shorts and sunglasses. The children have enjoyed immersing themselves in imaginative beach adventures, serving food and drinks to their friends, with cappuccinos proving to be the most requested item on the menu!
