Welcome back to a brand new school year – and what a fantastic start it has been for languages across the school! From our youngest pupils in Reception to our juniors, everyone has thrown themselves into learning with great enthusiasm.

Our Reception class took part in their very first Spanish lesson this week and they were absolutely incredible!  We are so proud of how enthusiastically they joined in and the wonderful start they have made to their language learning journey.

This term in Spanish, the younger children will be exploring key topics such as greetings, numbers, animals and celebrations – with plenty of interactive lessons ahead!

Meanwhile, our junior classes are focusing on French. They are already busy preparing for their upcoming Zoom call with our partner school in Trevaux, as well as working on their very first PenPal letters. It is so exciting to see languages brought to life through real connections, giving our pupils the chance to practise their skills and make new friends along the way.

We can’t wait to see all the progress our children will make in languages this year – a brilliant beginning to what promises to be a very exciting term!
