Hilltop Residential
What a weekend our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils have had at Hilltop Outdoor Centre, in Sheringham, Norfolk. The children had an incredible time, filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
It was such a joy to see them in a different setting, showing amazing teamwork, supporting one another, and most importantly, having lots of fun. The Hilltop staff couldn’t stop telling us how polite, respectful, and well-mannered our children were – they were especially impressed by their brilliant listening skills, which made us all proud.
The children got stuck into a variety of team-building challenges, really pulling together and pushing themselves out of their comfort zones. From scaling dizzying heights during the climbing and abseiling sessions to squeezing through tiny tunnels in the caving activity, the children showed courage and determination over the course of the weekend. One of the standout activities was the giant super swing – lots of nervous faces turned into beaming smiles once they took the leap!
Evenings were just as exciting. We enjoyed fun games, a scenic coastal hike (with an ice-cream stop, of course!), and even a hilarious birthday piano challenge – think blind auditions like The Voice but with our very own twist! We also unearthed some archery professionals during our Robin Hood-style challenge, with plenty of high scores hit.
Overall, the children were a credit to the school and themselves. They returned buzzing with stories, proud of what they achieved, and closer than ever as a group. It really was a special trip, and we are extremely proud of them.
