The School What we are and what we represent
Our goal is to treat and develop every child as an individual to ensure that they each benefit from our sound education philosophy. This embraces high expectations and couples a traditional emphasis on a sound group of English, Maths and Science with a mixture of teaching/learning styles using a range of resources.
Ayscoughfee Hall School is a co-educational, independent day school which caters for pupils from the age of three and a half to eleven years of age.
The school was founded in 1920 and has been administered by a Charitable Trust since 1958.
Our school, from September 1993 has been Welland Hall, a large, Grade II listed building set in its own grounds, adjacent to the picturesque River Welland, which runs through the centre of Spalding.
Welland Hall provides spacious accommodation with wonderful,, light, airy and safe classrooms, as well as all the "specialist" rooms necessary to enhance the teaching of such subjects as Science & Technology, Art, Information and Computer Technology and Physical Education.
Indeed, the accommodation has been sympathetically extended and enhanced in recent years with the addition of a spacious Assembly/Sporting Hall with changing rooms together with new classroom and cloakroom areas. A specialist music room with adjacent practice facilities has also been added.
Other special areas include a well stocked library, quiet reading areas, project areas and rooms for children benefiting from learning support services.
In addition we have outdoor facilities to develop our sports' coverage for all children. The building and the environment stimulate and enhance the children's interest in learning.
The safety and welfare of each pupil is foremost in our approach. To that end we are pleased to publish our Child Protection Policy for your information.
